Who's MISSING from Avatar Legends? Joke Characters

The idea of adding a joke-character to Avatar Legends is is rather obvious. The shows themselves already have several candidates who fulfill that function, and arguably so does the game. However, Sokka is a funny character, not a joke character. He's still presented and balanced as a competent fighter. So, for the real jokes, we have three options.

The Cabbage merchant is definitely the most immediately apparent choice. Hilariously, he is one of the most requested characters I've seen online as well. Now, don't get me wrong, I am sold on the idea. I'm just not sure what a full moveset for this guy would look like at all, even a comically awful one. Like, what does he even do? Maybe he just gets his opponent caught in the crossfire when someone wrecks his cart again.

There's no better representation of a joke bender than Bumi from TLoK. Much like Zaheer in particular, he gained airbending later in his life. Unlike Zaheer, however, he struggles a lot with it. As the first and only non-bending child of the last Airbender himself, he spent his life forming his own identity away from airbending and its culture, and now that he has airbending, he can't physically or mentally keep up with the other new airbenders. It's kind of a cruel joke to give him airbending at this point. That being said, Bumi is definitely meant to be more of a joke character, both before and after gaining airbending, and the way he does bend is quite funny. Most benders treat the forms like the martial arts they are, whereas Bumi just kind of fumbles his way through them. He's a goofy old man, not a fighter, but seeing him try anyway would be quite funny, even if I'd rather have Tenzin or Kai in the game first.

Varrick and Zhu Li make it in here on gameplay potential alone. In Varrick, one finds an opportunistic business man proudly taking credit while Zhu Li cleans up his mess in the background. In game, I'd like to see them work kind of like Bedman? from Guilty Gear Strive, but replacing Delilah cowering with Varrick boasting and.. also cowering, while Zhu Li actually attacks and defends for him using their many different inventions. Neat concept for a fighter that there otherwise wouldn't be many opportunities for.

The support system does make it difficult to imagine many minor characters in the game. As I understand it, every fighter gets three assists to themselves, and if characters like Suki and Mai occupy those posts, there's no way Bumi wouldn't were they to add Tenzin for instance. I really hope being a support doesn't disqualify a character from becoming playable.
