Who's missing from Avatar Legends? KAI

I truly believe that this game would be incomplete without this kid. Let me explain. Kai, much like Zaheer and plenty of other people who are not as cool as him, gained the ability to airbend through harmonic convergence. Unlike most of them, however, he did not have a regular life he was asked to forsake to join the air nomads. He was a child adrift, running around with no guidance just being a mischievious little rascal with a bit of a kleptomania problem, until he found an opportunity to escape that life and, with a bit of a rough start, become a valued member of the air nomads. He represents the future of them not just by being a new member, but by being the first recipient of their new philosophy. He's given a home and a cause, struggles at first but is not given up on and is supported as he helps out in turn. That, to the world, are the new air nomads. A group of benders dedicated to helping where they can and improving the world they wander one problem at a time.

In terms of gameplay, his bending style would be a bit more offensive than his fellow airbenders I think. I'd also like to see him employ tricks to confuse his opponent or maybe straight up steal something from them like he did in the show. He would probably have his own flying bison and other airbenders as supports, maybe even a super that references the massive tornado that the airbenders pulled off in the finale of Season 3, although that would fit for Jinora as well.

Alright, it's time to come clean. My second favorite fighting game character of all time in terms of gameplay and my favorite representation of airbending in all of fighting games is Swiftmaster from DNF Duel. He has the speed, the combos, the projectiles, he can pull people in and knock them back, has special unique movement options and enough tornados for the next three Twisters-sequels. Unfortunately for me, he is stuck in DNF Duel, a dead discord fighter I'm not even good at playing, so, before sitting down to write this, I just wanted Kai in the game so I could pay someone to mod Swiftmaster over him. However, now that I've seriously considered the idea of him being in the game, I think I'd main him for his own sake. The Swift Master association I built in my mind and air being my favorite element in the franchise definitely carried him some of the way there, but I genuinely want him the most out of anyone they could possibly add.

Street Fighter 6 sees Bison emerge with a severe case of amnesia, roaming the streets like a feral animal as he fights whoever he can find to quell his hunger for battle. Eventually, in an “unknown location”, he stumbles upon the answer to his questions: Juri, who accidentally reveals to him who he was. The Black Flag Remake worries me.

It sure does feel weird to bear witness to a “Ubisoft W” after all this time. The new trailer for their upcoming remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag has been outright well-received, and I can definitely understand why. Within the franchise, Black Flag is in the unique position of being just old enough to justify updating in this way, while still being accessible enough on modern hardware at somewhat low prices to the point where most fans of the franchise have had a chance to play it. Most importantly, however, it is arguably the last universally beloved title in the series. Remember, Ubisoft tried to sell an entire game based on its naval combat and multiplayer. Keeping all that in mind, the decision to remake Black Flag specifically is nothing short of the safest possible choice they could have made.
