Who's MISSING from Avatar Legends? The White Lotus

 Ah yes, the White Lotus, or, as I like to call them, ATLA's premiere aurafarmers. Realistically, if you want them in the game, it's because of some insane bending feat they pulled off in the show, and who could blame you? I already went over Iroh and Bumi, so let's talk about the other three and why, weirdly enough, none of them are likely candidates.

Pakku is not just my least favorite, he's also maybe the least likely candidate for a slot on the roster, since, in a masterstroke of feminist game design, he's been reduced to a support for Katara. 10/10, no notes.

I've seen people ask for Jeong Jeong and have used his superior bending ability to justify blocking Zhao from being added, but I also stand by my assessment of the game not needing any more firebenders. To his credit, he would be a fairly different and very visually impressive firebender, but bending feats alone can only get you so far when you're trying to get into a game with 3 avatars (not that he doesn't have an interesting story, but given that Iroh isn't even here yet it still wouldn't make him the next firebender to add to a game that DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE OF THEM). Besides, he is somewhat of a pacifist and while making him a fighter and simultaneously avoiding him actually fighting would be a fun design challenge, he's hardly worth the effort.

My personal favorite of three and the most unique character among them has got to be the swordmaster Piandao. His pupil is already in the game but he's the funny character, so not much of his master's more serious style makes it in with him. There isn't really any other disciplined weapon-wielding non-bender they could add, given Suki's presence in the game and Jett.. being Jett. Adding a fighter so skilled at his craft that the benders acknowledge him as in league with them and on their level is an amazing idea. Given that every White Lotus member is in some ways a mentor figure, having one of them run around schooling the strongest benders in the verse with nothing but a sword would be a lesson to all players and their characters. 

I had this written out before I watched Sokka's gameplay trailer and realized he's also a support already. This whole thing is making me hate a mechanic I haven't even gotten to engage with yet. I really hope they don't reveal the rest of the Red Lotus to just be Zaheer's supports..
